Northgate Community Has a Voice for Change

Welcome to the Northgate High School Blog. The sole purpose of this blog is to gather information from parents, students, teachers, staff and administrators who would like to share ideas about improving Northgate. The blog will also provide information about MDUSD's, and Northgate's, failure to provide a quality education for our students. If you believe everything is wonderful at Northgate feel free to write that in a post but please understand that this blog is about change. No form of name calling or intimidation will be tolerated, your post will be removed. This is a serious blog for serious people who want to make a difference. Members of the school board view this site, this link can easily be sent to the Superintendent, this is your opportunity to tell them what you think needs to change at Northgate.

AP/Honors Classes

Does Northgate need more AP and Honors classes? What would you like to see offered at an AP level? If you are a student, have you taken an AP test, did the specific class at Northgate prepare you for the test?

How about
AP Physics,
AP Chemistry,
AP European History,
AP US History,
AP English Lang. & Composition,
AP English Literature, and
AP Economics?
Do you think we can get teachers to come to Northgate HS and teach these courses?

I do believe we can get teachers to teach these courses. Northgate is the only school in the Mt. Diablo School District that does not offer any AP English or AP History courses. With good leadership I believe the teachers at Northgate will step up. If you want to see more AP classes make sure your voice is heard with regard to the qualities that are important when it comes to choosing the next Northgate Principal.

How many Northgate students try to transfer out to other MDUSD schools since your AP load is insufficient. Get your AP at CHS!

BTW Northgate your AP Biology course has not passed its audit! Transcripts cannot place the AP designation on the transcript. Something your former principal forgot to mention to the AP Bio teacher when they had to find someone to teach at the last minute. Try for next year I guess.
